Monday 17th June 2013, the 15th day of Iranian and Afghans refugees’ sit-in in front of UNHCR in Delhi with “Refugee Rights, Human Rights” slogan, come to an end with police forces interference.
After 15 days of sit-in, Instead of responding to the requests of refugees for a meeting, UNHCR officers in Delhi, made them arrested and dispersed them with the help of police forces.
It is worth mentioning that, on the eve of World Refugees Day, UNHCR office efforts for ending this sit-in is going towards violence.
During police forces interference in today’s sit-in, crying of the terrified children, swooning of some terrified women and police forces raid on Iranian journalist and eventually arresting 5 Iranian for 2 hours who were present at the sit-in, draw the attention of people and made local passersby sorry.

Also it is worth mentioning that, after all these happenings eventually UNHCR office made appointment with Afghan refugees and Iranian refugees for tomorrow, Tuesday, and Wednesday respectively.
Undoubtedly, the continuing of this sit-in depends on the outcome of these meetings.
